Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas! I hope, you often heard this Christmas quote at the time of Christmas and hopefully have you been good all year. Now it’s the time of Christmas Eve celebration because it’s the time of year when Santa Claus comes to town to celebrate Christmas with full of pomp, show, zeal and enthusiasm. You know why I am sharing this ideas to you, because I realize that India does not celebrate Christmas with full of joy as like the Wild West does, but however we do have our own style of enjoying this whole occasion. In India most of Christians celebrate Christmas because they truly love it, in fact spirit of Christmas proffers them forgiveness, grace, love and most important the act of sharing. That day’s are gone when only Christmas was celebrated by Roman Catholic, but now it’s the time when peoples of different customs and tradition add an interesting flavor to the celebration of this festival in India. So, today we are going to describe some best places in India to celebrate Christmas Eve.

Goa:



When it comes to celebrate Christmas, Goa is a connotation for celebration. The average population of Goa is filled by Roman Catholic and that’s the reason Goa has the impression of celebrating Christmas with immense zeal, pomp and show. The memorable Portuguese legacy forces Goa to celebrate Christmas with full of joy. The day of Christmas is filled by full of joy by doing some basic things like the entire city is decorated with Poinsettia flowers and lights. In the midnight, the average Goan crowds sing carols and this goes on till early hours of the morning. Apart from all this, the best thing there is all night long parties organized on the beaches like Mapusa, Anjuna and Candolim.

If you are looking for zealous Christmas celebration with some peace, then puducherry is the perfect place. Due to French influence in puducherry has done some good indeed like Goa. Mumbai is another great destination place in India, where people greatly feel the warmth of Christmas. On the day of occasion, the bakeries are full of with season’s best desserts and the streets and shopping malls are decorated in order to give festival feel. In Mumbai, the western suburb of Bandra is mostly inhabited by Catholics and due to that crowd one can see the houses with full of lighting and lamps, streets decorated with lights and Christmas trees. On occasion of Christmas, people usually like to live in one of the log huts that definitely enhance the Christmas mood.
